Welcome from the Priest in Charge

Since my move to the Benefice in March of 2019 I have received a lovely welcome from the staff and children at Middleton School. Our Tuesday morning worship is based around the ‘Fruits from the Roots’ material and always includes an introduction to a value, short related bible passage, a time of learning and reflection and an opportunity for the children to participate and respond.

Links between the school and St Andrew’s churches in Middleton and now Bainton are being built upon and extended. The Harvest Supper, which included an open invitation to the village, was very well received and the church service which followed was well attended by both the school and local community. Other services such as Remembrance, St Andrew’s Day and the Carol service help the children to focus on the important times in the Church calendar.

We are now preparing for a new venture ‘Experience Christmas’ which will be a wonderful opportunity for the church community to welcome the school and explore the Christmas Story in a fresh and exciting way.

All of our staff work extremely hard to encourage the children to ‘love, laugh, live and learn’ in a school environment which is focused on encouraging and enabling each pupil to reach their full potential not only academically but emotionally and spiritually.
